Aetna Dental HMO
The Aetna HMO plan calls itself a DMO or Dental Maintenance Organization. Aetna assigns members a Primary Care Dentist (PCD) for your routine and preventative dental needs, with referrals to specialists going through your PCD. This plan is the least expensive out of all their insurance options and offers dependable cost savings for those on a budget. We accept Aetna’s DMO plan.
Aetna Dental PPO
As with most PPO plans, the Aetna PPO allows members to use any dentist of their choosing, with discounts on plan services if members select a dentist in the Aetna network, like those at the Case Dental Group. While patients pay more in premiums than under the HMO plan, members do not need to have a referral before seeing specialists, a benefit of the PPO.
